Milan Design Week 2013 [photos]

Yesterday was the last day of the Milan Design Week 2013. Over 2,500 exhibitors showcased an endless collection of the latest international products and home-furnishing designs. We were lucky enough to be among exhibitors such as Res Italia, Dorota Koziara Studio, Kosmos Project, Vitra and Hyundai. 

We thank all the amazing bloggers and photographers who were writing about Planika during the design week, all the visitors who visited us at the Superstudio Piu, iSaloni, ENTRATALIBERA Showroom and Ventura Lambrate.

Milan Design Week, Europe's largest and most prestigious industrial design trade fair, started yesterday. This year with strong representation from Polish Design world.

Trying to meet the needs of our customers we decided to give Fire Line Automatic model E an adaptive advantage. We accomplished that by creating a black fireplace (as a standard model) giving it a touch of elegance. For those who appreciate the uniqueness of our previous product made of stainless steel there is an option to purchase the fireplace in silver on a special request. Isn’t that nice?

This semi-automatic highly functional product equipped with a LED display, control panel with a 4-stage flame size regulation is a continuation of luxurious line of fireplaces carefully prepared by the engineers of Planika. Also, Fire Line Automatic model E has numerous safety sensors, which monitor a temperature, movement of the device and a fuel level. Due to built-in ventilators no additional ventilation is required.

Fire Line Automatic model E is started by opening the valve by moving the slider to ON position. If the valve is opened, it is not possible to open the inlet flap. This solution additionally increases safety level. The device also immediately turns off after setting it in OFF position (flame self-extinguishes). Product is available only in 990mm length.

Additionally, now as our standard option we offer an elegance and classy black insert. Nevertheless, for those who appreciate the uniqueness of our previous model made entirely from stainless steel, there is an option to purchase the fireplace in silver on a special request.

Geometrix Design about Shuvalovsky Project - ‘Chocolate delight’

Recently we had a pleasure of interviewing one of the most important design studios, Geometrix Design from Russia, which decided to use Planika products. In this exclusive video interview with Elen Miroshkina, we talks about conceptual geometry and the Shuvalovsky Project, also known under the name of ‘Chocolate delight’.

Almost the entire area of the apartment’s living room was built around the fireplace, so the client can watch TV and enjoy the natural flames of the bio fireplace.

“It is in fact a very original solution for an apartment because it is hard to find an apartment where natural flame fireplace is used. You can hardly find a real fireplace anywhere in the city apartment. Geting ready for the next Planika interview

After two successful interviews with Aleksandra Bobrowicz-Nadolny from dot.projekt and Tomasz Tubisz from Cubic Projekt we are preparing another one.

This time the questions will go to Marcin Konopka from Ministerstwo Spraw We Wnętrzach (MSWW), who has created a marvellous, modern apartment in Sea Towers in Gdynia. Using Planika Fire Line Automatic was definitely a great idea, adding freshness and warmth to the white interiors.
