Fire Line Automatic is the latest product by Planika designed primarily for architects and interior designers. The versatile, linear burner can mount into a wall, onto a shelf, or used as a see-through or fee-standing fireplace.

Fire Line Automatic is a completely safe, UL compliant , CE certified device. The appliance is fully automatic with a large LED display and can be operated with a remote control. Additionally there is a 4-degree flame regulation option. The burner is made of stainless, acid proof steel

with a powder coated base.

The standard model comes with a flame of 31.5” with the total device of 39” in length. Burning time with these parameters comes to well over ten hours which sets a new record in the linear burner, biofireplace market. This is attributed to a technology, where only the fuel vapour is being burned, thus, optimizing the burning process. The technology is also one of the safest as there is no direct contact between the flame, high temperatures and the fuel. Electronic safety sensors control the device at all times when working or in standby mode. The appliance is shock-proof and CO2 sensitive and it will react to any seismic activity, movement or the raise in the CO2 concentration in a room. In case of any disturbances there is a warning signal and an alert appearing on the display is shown and the fire is extinguished automatically in an instant.

Fire Line Automatic provides unlimited possibilities of applications. Without a necessity for a chimney, it is a completely universal device that can be placed in any room with ventilation. It can be recessed into a wall, or purchased together with a steel casing allowing for installation into any material. Other options include incorporating the Fire Line Automatic into the Aquario, a free-standing elegant see-through fireplace or Duo Fire, a contemporary set of low tables for living room area. The length of Fire Line Automatic can be ordered to measure from 31” up to 62”. There is also a possibility of combining two or more pieces to achieve an extended fireplace, where all appliances can be operated with just one remote control.

Fire Line Automatic is the safest, most universal, and user friendly fireplace on the market.

Aromatherapy in the Office

Office is usually associated with a place in which you perform your daily work routines and spend most of your time there. What to do in order to make your workplace more attractive? You can place photos on your desk, you can bring potted plants to liven up the space. However, these means will only influence the mood of one person – the occupant of the desk. What can be done in order to stimulate the whole group? To enhance the working atmosphere and create a positive vibe throughout the whole office? The simplest solution is to start using aromatherapy in the office. A small portable biofireplace will not only change the overall mood but is a great facilitator of spreading a scent. It has been scientifically proved that a nice smell boosts the atmosphere and stimulates positive attitudes. Scientists looked into different types of scents, like floral, wood and citrus aromas and their influence on employees. The conclusions were following:

• Morning – citrus scents as they are fresh and stimulating.

• Afternoon – floral scents as they are stimulating neural activity and at the same time are soothing.

• Evening – wood scents as they relaxing and calming.

21st Century Fire with Ancient Healing Powers

To use aromatherapy it is necessary to have some kind of fire. Usually, it is a small candle, which unfortunately might be insufficient when we want to spread scent in a spacious interior. Placing an aromalamp in a traditional fireplace may be hazardous as the flames are unstable and the burning wood may cause the aromaholder to fall over. In this situation, the choice of a biofireplace fueled by liquid fuel seems the best decision. In all Planika Fire models the flame is stable and there is no possibility of the holder to trip over. Planika’s SPA KITS contain a special aromaholder which enables using aromatherapy with a horizontal line of fire. The 21st century solution beautifully combines the technological novelty with the ancient healing powers of aromatherapy.

Aromatherapy - the term

The term aromatherapy has been coined by a French chemist Rene-Maurice Gatefosse at the beginning of the 20th century. While experimenting in his laboratory, Gatefosse accidentally burnt his hand and put it in a bowl with lavender essential oil. To his surprise the burn healed much faster and didn’t scar the hand. This fact intrigued Gatafosse and made him look closer at the properties of this essential oil. He carried out a research and published his findings in a book entitled “Aromatherapy”.

Thyme and lavender essential oils were used during the Second World War to treat gunshot wounds and to sterilize chirurgical instruments.

Aromatherapy is a holistic therapy. It approaches a patient as a one integrated entity which can be compared to the medicine of Far East. The aim of aromatherapy is to improve the overall condition of the organism through balancing its natural immune powers.

Aromatherapy

Hippocrates, the Greek physician wrote:

'The way to health is to have an aromatic bath and scented massage every day".

True, isn’t it? Who wouldn’t like to indulge themselves? The power of aromatherapy is unquestionably immense. Everybody appreciates nice scents, whether they are relaxing, energizing or seasonal, like cinnamon and vanilla for Christmas.

Aromatherapy has always been of great interest for Planika. There has always been a set of 4 essential oils available with every product. However, we would like to broaden our knowledge of the essential oils and prepare a wider range of scents available with the biofireplaces.
This is the first post to initiate the topic of aromatherapy which will be further explored….

Planika’s L-shaped Success in New Jersey

The innovative L-shaped vent less fireplace has been recently used to decorate the Beacon Lofts in New Jersey, the so called fifth borough of New York City. The real estators from the Helstead Properties picked the L-shape model to add some warm charm to their luxurious live/work condominiums. The home/office idea gains interest among young professionals who seek solutions fusing living and working environments proving that Planika’s products may be successfully arranged in versatile interiors.
L-shape, which runs on bioethanol based Fanola® fuel, is safe to use and completely environmentally friendly. Beside those features, the fact that it can be easily moved, as the L-shape is not restricted by a chimney, is a key decision factor for young, mobility oriented people.
